summer fair

Summer Fair

It’s our Summer Fair on Saturday 2nd June at St John’s Church Hall, Bury, BL9 6NY.

Opening time is 11am and we’ll keep going till we either run out of energy or we run out of bottles on the tombola. So come early!

There will be everything you’d expect – toys, lunches, raffle, pre-loved books, jigsaws, cakes, knitted goods, garden plants. And yes, a bottle stall.

There will also be a white elephant (bric-a-brac) stall. All proceeds from this stall will go to The Christie Charity.

We’d love to see you there!

Thanks to Dave Walker for the cartoon. It originally appeared in the Church Times. It can be found in the book How to Avoid the Peace, published by Canterbury Press. The Church Ferret Stunt team will sadly not be appearing this Saturday.

  1. Many thanks to everyone who came to the Fair today and all who helped. We expect to raise around £1200 when all the money is in.
