Coffee Morning & Book Fair – Saturday 1st September

Stock-up on some pre-loved books for Autumn, when there’s nothing on telly apart from ‘Strictly’. And who still uses a Kindle these days anyway? Plus of course tea, coffee, bacon butties and some very special home-made cakes & biscuits… Starts at 10am.

Bacon & Sausage Butties – Saturday 15th September

This will be at Christ Church hall from 10am. Plus some really interesting old photos of the Walmersley area will be on display.

Afternoon Tea – Saturday 29th September

Back due to popular demand following the hugely successful afternoon tea in April. Dainty sandwiches and cakes plus a choice of tea or coffee, all on the best (mismatched) china that we can lay our hands on.  Ticket only @ £4 per person, which if you came last time you’ll know is really good value. Serving from 2pm. Contact June on 0797 041 7331. To make sure there’s no waste we’ll be making the exact right number of sandwiches and cakes so please don’t just turn up on the off chance!

There will also be some books for sale for those who missed out on the Book Fair (or who’ve already read what they’ve bought).

Gill’s leaving do – Sunday 30th September

Gill Barnett’s final service with us will be at 10.30am and it will be followed by a bring-and-share lunch in Christ Church Hall. All very welcome as we say good-bye and escort her off the premises.

Macmillan Coffee Morning – Saturday 20th October

We will be hosting a fundraising coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support. Start time is 10am.  We’d love to see as many people as possible here to support this very worthwhile cause.
