It's summer Sunday@Seven

It’s summer – S@S

Our next Sunday@Seven service is July 28th. The theme this time is ‘It’s Summer…let’s sing!’

At the time of writing the sun is shining, the sky is blue, Wimbledon is on, we’re still in the cricket world cup… So why wouldn’t you want to sing?!

Sunday@Seven It's summer

It may well be rainy by then, and who knows what will have happened with the sport, but on the 28th we shall be belting out some of our favourite songs and hymns. Please let Nigel know beforehand, either directly, or via the contact page, which ones you especially like.

For ‘It’s summer…’, we’ll be meeting in the church at Christ Church, rather than in the hall.

Many people reading this aren’t local to Bury – or even local to the UK! So, if you can’t be with us on the day, please let us know of any special requests which we can sing for you. We’ll read out any message that you want to send too.

What is Sunday@Seven?

Sunday@Seven is an opportunity to sing and pray in a more informal setting than the usual Sunday and weekday church services. It’s led by Nigel Silvester, our Authorised Lay Minister (lead vocals and acoustic guitar), and Cath Hilton (backing vocals and keyboard), plus anyone else who has been volunteered on the night. It lasts around an hour (ish).

There will be an ‘open mic‘ spot for anyone who wants to share a thought for a minute or two, either prepared in advance or off-the-cuff.

Sunday@Seven is held on the last Sunday of every month. If you enjoy hymns old & (very) new then we’d love to see you! There are prayers and meditations. Plus a brew, cake and biscuits to keep you going.

Special note: It’s coming up to 8 years since Nigel first became an ALM. So, please hold him in your prayers and thank God for his ministry as he gets re-commissioned at Manchester Cathedral on September 22nd.

We look forward to seeing you!
