Eagles Wing are a mutual support group for asylum seekers and local people in Bury, Lancashire. Their aim is to befriend newcomers to our town. Old friends can make sure that no one is lonely and isolated when they arrive here. They have members from all over the world, speaking many different languages.Read more

Seeing the reactions of followers of Bury FC over recent days gives credence to that point of view. It comes home to you that football supporters do have a great sense of community, of belonging, of common identity, of being in fellowship, in a family.Read more

Christian debt support is now available in Bury thanks to Bury Christians Against Poverty (CAP).
The new service is offering free, face-to-face debt counselling to all, regardless of age, background, ethnicity or faith.
The CAP Debt Coaches visit people in their homes, negotiate with creditors on the client’s behalf and support people until they are debt free.Read more
Our Walking Group on 6th July was a much anticipated visit to Malham in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Some of us had never been before. Others had not been for a good number of years. The walk included Janet’s Foss, a picturesque waterfall, in which people were already cooling off.
