Here are the Bible readings for July 2024 which we’ll be using in both our churches. Please make use of these passages and reflect on what they might be saying to you. We continue in the season after Trinity and this month we have three Sundays exploring the very long sixth chapter of Mark before moving into John. Our New Testament readings start with Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians before moving onto Ephesians. And our Old Testament readings go from Ezekiel and Amos to Jeremiah and the second book of Kings.
The readings
The verses include a messenger sent to stubborn people, God making the best of our weaknesses, plumb lines, a beheading, shepherds and sheep, love that surpasses all knowledge and the feeding of thousands thanks, in part, to a small boy…

If you don’t have access to a Bible, then please follow this link to the Vanderbilt Divinity Library. It’s not always the same but it’s usually pretty close.
The Bible readings for July 2024 also include this from Psalm 85…
Righteousness and Pease will kiss each other
Let me hear what God the Lord will speak,
for he will speak peace to his people,
to his faithful, to those who turn to him in their hearts.
9 Surely his salvation is at hand for those who fear him,
that his glory may dwell in our land.10 Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet;
righteousness and peace will kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness will spring up from the ground,
and righteousness will look down from the sky.
12 The Lord will give what is good,
and our land will yield its increase.
13 Righteousness will go before him,
and will make a path for his steps.
