The April 2026 Bible readings trace the journey from resurrection shock to settled belonging – moving from the empty tomb to confident witness, from fear to peace, and from uncertainty to life held securely in Christ.

Our March 2026 Bible readings include Abram on the go and Hannah lending Samuel. Jesus talking day and night – and then the Passion.

Our February 2026 Bible readings include the start of it all and the giving of instructions for living. In the Gospel we have Jesus being tested and transfigured.

Our January 2026 Bible readings include the visit of the Magi, then the baptism of Jesus followed by John’s recognition of him as the Son of God. Finally, Jesus telling his disciples what would happen at the ‘renewal of all things.’

Our December 2025 Bible readings include prophecies from Isaiah, repentance from the Baptist, instructions from angels, poetry from John – and the killing of innocents.

The November 2025 Bible readings include Jesus sharing some blessings and woes, then the Sadducees trying entrapment, warnings and reassurance about the future, the crucifixion – and a reading about the end times.

The Bible does all of that, but something more mysterious happens as well: when we open the Bible, the Bible opens us too. It’s the Book that reads us.

In the October 2025 Bible readings, we’re still journeying to Jerusalem with Jesus (are we nearly there yet?) Jesus tells stories of mustard seeds and mulberry trees and of widows wearing out judges. In the Old Testament, we have a prophet on look-out duty and Jacob holding-on till day-break for a blessing.

In the September 2025 Bible readings we have guidance from Jesus on resource planning; looking for things which are lost; debt management – and taking notice of good advice whilst you can.

The August 2025 Bible readings include barns, treasure, division, healing, seating plans, vanity, star counting – and the perils of pride.

The July 2025 Bible readings include Abraham and Sarah putting on a spread and Jesus giving his disciples a template of how to pray.

This article looks at the body through the lens of disability.  I use two discourses to balance out and correct misapprehensions and misunderstandings.  These discourses are the academic discourse and my own story.  This article is inspired by the gap in Living in love and faith (2020) of the body, there being no reference to the body as body in this report.

Here are the June 2025 Bible readings, which we’ll be using in both our churches as we end Easter Season, celebrate Pentecost and Trinity Sunday and start the long period of ‘Ordinary’ time.
