Here are the June 2022 Bible readings which we’ll be using in church. Please make use of these readings and reflect on what they might be saying to you.
The readings
The readings in June include the disciples becoming multi-lingual; Jesus describing the relationship between himself, the Father and the Holy Spirit; God ready to be found by those not looking for him; flying pigs; and Elisha doing some catering:
- June 5 – Pentecost: Acts 2:1-21; Romans 8:14-17; John 14:8-17;
- June 12 – Trinity Sunday: Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31; Romans 5:1-5; John 16:12-15;
- June 19 – 1st after Trinity: Isaiah 65:1-9; Galatians 3:23-29; Luke 8:26-39;
- June 26 – 2nd after Trinity: 1 Kings 19:5-16, 19-21; Galatians 5:1, 13-25; Luke 9:51-62;

Psalm 8
O Lord, our Sovereign,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouths of babes and infants
you have founded a bulwark because of your foes,
to silence the enemy and the avenger.
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars that you have established;
what are human beings that you are mindful of them,
mortals that you care for them?
Yet you have made them a little lower than God,
and crowned them with glory and honour.
You have given them dominion over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under their feet,
all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea,
whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
O Lord, our Sovereign,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
