Sunday, September 8, 2019(1 event) 10:30 am: Sunday Worship – Our main service of the week, usually with Communion. Every 3rd Sunday will be a 'service of the word' which doesn't have Communion. If the month has 5 weeks then we have a joint service with Christ Church on the 5th Sunday, alternating venues. Once a quarter is a more informal Cafe Church in the hall. Includes Sunday School with the children with us at the start and end of the service. Followed by refreshments and a chance to chat. Or... come to Cafe Church at Christ Church, meeting in the hall |

Sunday, September 29, 2019(2 events) 10:30 am: Celebration Service – This service will be a joint one at Christ Church. It will be led by Nigel and Ian, our authorised lay ministers (ALM). There will also be Eucharist, presided by the Vicar. This will be followed by something to eat to celebrate Nigel's re-commissioning and Ian's commissioning as ALM's. 7:00 pm: Sunday@7 – An informal opportunity to pray and praise, meeting in the back room of Christ Church. Monday, September 30, 2019(1 event) 7:30 pm: Open Deanery Synod – At All Saints Elton to discuss the proposed new Deanery arrangements as part of the Diocesan Strategy. As part of the strategy proposals have been put forward to review the boundaries of deaneries and the role of the area deans. The briefing document can be found here: https://cofemanchester.contentfiles.net/media/documents/document/2019/07/Fit_for_Mission_Briefing_Document_July_2019_FINAL.pdf The implications of the proposals for Bury Deanery are significant, and worth consideration and reflection ahead of the Diocesan Synod vote in October – for this reason, the Deanery Synod meeting is being called at rather short notice. The main item for discussion is naturally the proposals, but we will also reflect on how we can use the existing Deanery Synod most effectively to explore shared mission and discipleship during what may be the last year in its current form.
