Our January 2026 Bible readings include the visit of the Magi, then the baptism of Jesus followed by John’s recognition of him as the Son of God. Finally, Jesus telling his disciples what would happen at the ‘renewal of all things.’

Our January 2021 Bible readings include wilderness men in fancy dress; the calling of small children and mouthy disciples – and soap!

Christmas is not about turkey or tinsel. It’s about remembering that God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Here are the Bible readings for January 2020 which we’ll be using in church for this season of Epiphany. The scriptures this month include travelling wise men, a baptism, disciples being called – and people that had been in darkness now seeing a great light.

In this bumper Christmas issue we have details of all the many services and events that we have going on. There’s a letter from Dave, about God “mucking in” with us. There are also appeals to help those who are homeless and some reflections on Advent, Christmas and Epiphany.

Our next Sunday@Seven service will be on January 27th. The theme is ‘Then it dawned on me’.

This is a chance for more informal worship, prayer and meditation.

We’ll meet in the Barritt Room at St John’s Hall. Brews and cake will be on hand!
