Free introduction to Christian Meditation

Meditation can be incorporated into one’s daily life for its health benefits of reducing stress and producing a sense of well-being. It is also a spiritual practice found in all religious traditions.

If you’re interested in finding out more then we warmly invite you to this free, six part series. We’ll meet at Bolton Quaker Meeting House, 50, Silverwell Street, Bolton, BL1 1PP.

  • Monday evenings 7.30pm to approx. 8.45pm. From September 3rd to October 8th
  • Thursday afternoons 2.00pm to approx. 3.00pm. From September 6th to October 11th

In Christian Meditation, the Christian contemplative prayer, the ‘Prayer of the Heart’, helps us to become mindful of ourselves. We enter into the discovery of living in the present moment, through stillness, silence and simplicity. We experience the joy in just resting, being in the presence of God.

The peace that this brings us allows the light of Christ to shine within us and through us.
