Embracing Justice

Embracing Justice

Listen now

What might a spirituality shaped by biblical portrayals of justice look like for the 21st century? That’s the question asked by ‘Embracing Justice’, the book that we will be following for Lent this year.

We are all called to be speakers and seekers of justice – and this Lent we will reflect on the injustices of the world, asking what God is calling us to do about them, stepping into God’s work in the here and now.

The Lent groups will be meeting over 5 weeks, following ‘Embracing Justice’ written by Isabelle Hamley:

1. Exodus and Liberation

2. Building communities of justice

3. Justice as encounter

4. Justice in the shape of a cross

5. Do this to remember me

There are 2 venues. Monday nights at 7.30pm in the Barritt Room at St John with St Mark’s Hall, Bury and Thursday afternoons at 2pm in the hall at Christ Church, Walmersley. We will also be Zooming the Monday night sessions if you can’t be there in person. Just get in touch via the Contact page. We would love for you to join us. The first session is Monday March 7th.
