Manchester Diocese Lay Leaders Conference

Meeting begins 9.30am

We are delighted to invite you to our first Lay Leadership Conference - a unique opportunity to gather together to learn, be encouraged and empowered as leaders. This event is open to lay people who contribute to the life of their church in Bury and Rossendale Deanery. All are invited including Readers, ALMs, Focal Leaders and those who hold church officer roles such as Churchwardens, Treasurers and Parish Safeguarding Officers. The event is also open to those who volunteer in other ways.

Our guest speaker will be Carrie Myers, Head of Lay Ministries for the Church of England. Carrie will lead some of our morning session – celebrating, encouraging and inspiring us in our lay ministry roles.

There will be chance to meet up with others in similar roles, time to worship together, to pray and be prayed for, and to reflect on the calling we share.

The conference will take place on Saturday, 1st March 2025 from 9.30 am to 1 pm at St John and St Mark's, Parkinson Street, Bury, BL9 6NY. Light refreshments will be provided. We will finish before lunchtime.
