What is fostering?
From the council website:
Fostering is caring for a child in a professional capacity. As a foster carer you will have lots of resilience to offer a loving secure, and safe environment to a child, sibling group, or young person.
You will be a valued member of our professional team; we will support you in your career to develop new skills and knowledge, and you will receive good financial remuneration. As a foster carer, you are self-employed working in a privileged position to help make a difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable children living in Bury.
Fostering is a challenging career, but offers tremendous job satisfaction seeing a child or young person grow in confidence and achieving academically, socially, and emotionally.
So, go on, take that next step…
