Standing on the shore

Our next Sunday evening worship service is 7pm on August 28th, 2022. We’re calling it: ‘Standing on the shore’.
It includes this reading from Matthew 4:18-20…
As he walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the lake – for they were fishermen. And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.’ Immediately, they left their nets and followed him.

You’re very welcome to come and join us for prayers and reflections and to sing the old, and not so old, songs of faith.
The service will be led by Nigel Silvester and we will be meeting this time in the Church Hall at Christ Church, Walmersley. As usual, we will also be Zooming for those who can’t make it in person. Currently over fifty people now come together with us, in one format or another, on the last Sunday of each month. So, if you would like to give it a go, or want to know more, then please use our CONTACT page to get in touch.
What is Sunday@Seven?
Sunday@Seven is an opportunity to worship together informally on the last Sunday of each month. There are modern songs and ancient hymns, prayers and reflections. If time allows, there is space for discussion too. It’s normally led by Nigel Silvester, our Authorised Lay Minister, ably supported by Cath Hilton.
If the venue needs to change for ‘Standing on the shore’ then we will update this post as appropriate.
