Eagles Wing are back and re-starting their weekday morning support groups for women! Meeting at the United Reformed Church, Parsons Lane.

There are articles on Creation Season and Daily Hope as well as information about upcoming events. There are also pieces from the Mothers’ Union, and the Scouts as well as a reflection from Nigel on how technology allowed us to keep in touch during lock-down – and needs to continue as part of our service to others.

You’ll find plenty of prayer and reflection, news and views in our August 2020 church magazine. But we’ll need to hold back on the social stuff for a little longer. And there’s a reminder of our global responsibilities, in this appeal to help those in our link diocese of Lahore in Pakistan…

From next Sunday, July 12th, we will be back worshiping in church! We will have just the one service, at 11am. Christ Church will have an earlier service at 10am.

Welcome to our church lock-down recipe #6. It’s for a flourless Chocolate Cake. Yeah, we thought #5 would be the last one too, but we had a special request to bring this one to you.

The events of Spring 2020 will remain long in the memory and its effects will impact upon our world for many years to come. As we wished everyone Happy New Year six months ago, we were blissfully unaware of what was to lie ahead.

Following the recent government announcement we hope to open our churches for public worship shortly. Most of us will be a little heavier and a little hairier than when we last met together!

Refugee Week is a UK-wide festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees. It was founded in 1998 and held every year around World Refugee Day on the 20th June. Refugee Week is also a growing global movement.
