My time is in your hands

Our next Sunday@Seven service is December 29th in the hall at Christ Church Walmersley. The theme is ‘My time is in your hands’, which is taken from Psalm 31
From Psalm 31
But I trust in you, Lord;
I say, “You are my God.”
My times are in your hands;
deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
from those who pursue me.
Let your face shine on your servant;
save me in your unfailing love.
Let me not be put to shame, Lord,
for I have cried out to you;
but let the wicked be put to shame
and be silent in the realm of the dead.
Let their lying lips be silenced,
for with pride and contempt
they speak arrogantly against the righteous.
How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you.
In the shelter of your presence you hide them
from all human intrigues;
you keep them safe in your dwelling
from accusing tongues.
What is Sunday@Seven?
Sunday@Seven is an opportunity to sing and pray in a more informal setting than the usual Sunday and weekday church services. It’s led by Nigel Silvester, our Authorised Lay Minister (lead vocals and acoustic guitar), and Cath Hilton (backing vocals and keyboard), plus anyone else who has been ‘volunteered’ on the night. It lasts around an hour (ish).
There will be an ‘open mic‘ spot for anyone who wants to share a thought for a minute or two, either prepared in advance or off-the-cuff.
Sunday@Seven is held on the last Sunday of every month. If you enjoy hymns old and new then we’d love to see you! There are prayers and meditations. Plus a brew, cake and biscuits to keep you going.
We really look forward to seeing you at ‘My time is in your hands’!
