We are urgently needing funding to continue our support for destitute asylum seekers who come to The Eagles Wing each week for help.

Here are the summer arrangements for The Eagles Wing. They are a mutual support group for asylum seekers, refugees and local people in Bury.

Eagles Wing are back and re-starting their weekday morning support groups for women! Meeting at the United Reformed Church, Parsons Lane.

This June 7th Newsletter is for Trinity Sunday. It’s where we recognise the one true God as three persons. This also marks our 250th anniversary weekend and there’s a special message from Bishop David.

Eagles Wing are a mutual support group for asylum seekers and local people in Bury, Lancashire. Their aim is to befriend newcomers to our town. Old friends can make sure that no one is lonely and isolated when they arrive here. This is an update to our post in October 2019 since some details have now changed.

On Saturday 14th December, Eagles Wing had their Christmas Party at our church hall and this letter is from their co-ordinator Sue Arnall… “Solidarity had a wonderful Christmas Party, thanks to funding from Autotrader and Forever Manchester, the kindness of St John & St Mark’s Church and the amazing hard work of 20 volunteers!”

They have drop-ins and support groups operated by volunteers throughout the week in a number of locations in the town. St John & St Mark’s are very pleased to host the monthly Socials, which meet on the afternoon of the second Saturday.
